'IN752.0 - Integrated Human Physiology' is the core 6-week physiology block taken by the 170 first-year students at Harvard Medical School. Click here to learn more about this block.
This spaced education course is being run concurrently over the 6-week physiology block to help students aggregate, share, and retain the critical physiology knowledge that they are learning.
Contributing:
(1) At staggered time points over the 6-week block, students will each be asked to contribute one question (and explanation) to the spaced education program.
(2) This question should target an important content covered in the prior week of the physiology course.
(3) The question format can be multiple-choice (preferred), multiple correct answer, or fill-in-the-blank.
(4) The questions and/or explanations can include photos, diagrams, videos & links to other resources.
(5) Students will be sent instructions via email how to easily upload their question and explanation.
How the Program Works:
'IN752.0 - Integrated Human Physiology' covers core physiology concepts for first-year students at Harvard Medical School.
The goals of the course are:
1. To introduce several major physiological systems in a manner that emphasizes the interplay of cellular, molecular and biochemical processes that underlie system function, with emphasis on the respiratory, cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, renal, endocrine, and reproductive systems.
2. To emphasize the homeostatic interactions that take place between those component physiological systems and that give rise to the integrated functioning of the human body.
3. To provide a conceptual background for the function and interplay of human organ systems.
