This course was constructed as a first-aid review for the ski patrol in Sugarbush Vermont.  The course covers selected content from the Outdoor Emergency Care Textbook:

Outdoor Emergency Care - Comprehensive Prehospital Care for Nonurban Settings (4th ed), by the National Ski Patrol (Bowman WD, Johe DH) and the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (Browner BD, Pollak AN, and Gupton CL).  Sudbury, MA: Jones and Bartlett Publishers, 2002; p563.

Dr. Masser received her medical degree at Darmouth Medical School and completed her residency in emergency medicine at the Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham & Women's Hospital, Boston, MA.  She is currently the Associate Director of the Department of Emergency Medicine at the Beth Israel Deaconess Needham, chairs the Code Committee at this hospital, and is an Instructor in Medicine at Harvard Medical School.  Since 1999, she has been a medical advisor and ski patroller at Sugarbush Mountain, VT.
