As the owner of Story Mentor, I provide online writing tutoring, editing and writing coaching services for people around the world. My clients include scholars, independent professionals, high school and college students, speakers of English as a second language (ESL), and writers of nonfiction books and articles. I hold an MA in Writing/Publishing, an MA in Linguistics/ESL, and a BA in German and French. 

As an online writing tutor, freelance editor, and writing coach, my mission is to help my clients tell their stories in the clearest, most effective way possible.

I believe that writing has an almost magical ability to ignite learning, creativity and healing. This is why I also teach creative writing techniques, like journaling and mind mapping, to help my clients develop their ideas, find solutions to their challenges, and stimulate personal growth. 

My education includes an MA in Writing/Publishing, an MA in Linguistics/ESL and a BA in German and French. I have extensive experience in teaching university writing composition and ESL courses to people from around the world, as well as in writing and editing corporate communications.

I am the author of two ebooks on writing. The first--All Writing Tells a Story--is a free writing lesson that talks about the power of emotions, images and structure in writing. The second--Telling Your Story on the Web--is a step-by-step guide that helps small business owners plan their websites so they appeal both to human visitors and to search engine visitors.
