The comments from others were very helpful. Explanations were good for most part.
Good topics, but the questions are routinely poorly worded. They do not test practical or real world knowledge, but minutae and answers based on semantic trickery. If this is how the tests are set up, God help us all.
very much enjoyed the format, squeezing lessons into my busy day, rather than trying to get it all done at once.
This is a great way to memorize the questions and answers over time. Memorizing helps given that one ends up memorizing the explanations and the facts contained in those explanations.
I like it very much. Would love to have it just continue on indefinitely like the daily questions from Emedhome. Should remain free of charges for ACEP members—the goal is to educate, correct??
Thanks!
I have both the book and computer versions of PEER VII, and this is by far the best format. I like having the questions doled out at a pace I can keep up with, but which will get me through the whole thing before the recert exam. Finally, this works on both my phone and my iPad, which I always have with me. That means I can work on it at odd moments. The computer version only works on a computer, plus has to be loaded so it can’t be accessed from any random computer you might have access to at work. I went ahead and signed on for the full version after using the sample.
A minor glitch is that the estimated completion date is not accurate. It does not match the calendar, and does not change when the number of questions per day is reset. It would also be nice if I could set the completion date, and have the number of questions per day adjust as I went along.
Despite many years of experience and keeping up, I still learned new and useful info.
I liked the spaced-out timing of the questions. It was easier to handle than sitting down with the book and working on it for an hour or two.
The comments from the other doctors were helpful when there were issues with a question. It would have been nice if a moderator would have responded to those issues.
good concept. Answers were a bit unusual here and there, so some editing may be in order either with PEER VII or the spaceded questions
Sent the same question over and over even though answered correclty. Otherwise, I generally learned something. There is clearly more material that could be added. Seems like a good start. Thanks.
