Royalty Advance Program for Authors

Everyone is an expert in something, whether its brain surgery or ballroom dancing. With SpacedEd everyone now has the opportunity to share their expertise with the world and earn some money while doing it.

There are thousands of SpacedEd members and more joining every day. We constantly hear from members who are looking for more courses on every topic under the sun.

To help authors get started, we are offering selected authors a $100 advance on any royalties earned from the sale of their course.

SpacedEd's unique course format uses questions and answers, making it very easy for anyone with knowledge of a particular subject to build a course about it.

You don't need to know HTML or learn complex tools. We handle managing the course and delivering it via email, the web and to mobile devices.

You pour your knowledge and expertise into the course and we will do the rest.

How The Royalty Advance Program Works

Courses must be at least 25 questions long.

Course proposals will be accepted into the Advance Program based on several criteria:

  • Topic area - is this a course which will be of interest to SpacedEd learners? (Courses which focus on non-medical topics are encouraged.)
  • Do other courses or proposed courses already address this content area?
  • Background of the course author - does the course author have at least some basic expertise in the course topic?
  • Use of rich media in the course - does the course use pictures, audio and video? (We encourage this but it is not essential.)

If your proposal is accepted, you will receive $25 of the advance up front.

You will then have 30 days to create the course on the SpacedEd platform and to submit it for review.

The SpacedEd team will then review the course to ensure that it meets the goals outlined in your proposal. We will be nice, but we want to make sure the course is pretty good. Once the course is accepted, you will receive the $75 balance of the advance.

  • Your CV or resume.
