Interesting that a learner can add/drop course 'ad libitum'. Is there a way to control who adds and whether they can drop?

Just figured out how to add/change the icon for a course... add image as first item in Introduction/Description of course.

Where/How do I add/change the icon for a course?

It would be nice when adding a course to have an option for adding a category or at the very least an 'Other'.

I've created my first micro-course (free) entitled "How to Publish & Protect Your Creative Work" and have run into several problems/issues.

1) can't add question with Windows XP sp3 using ie8 but can with Firefox 3.0.5.

2) want to be able to change type question/delete a question; delete trash can next to question doesn't work gives move/rearrange 4-arrrow icon.

3) move/rearrange acts funky unless you refresh and go back to top of course and then rearrange/move.

4) using one answer (multiple choice) SpacedEd allows you to check more than one answer, e.g., all. Is that correct meaning any answer could be correct? I hope so as opposed to using multiple correct answers.

5) after uploading an image would like ability to delete image if no longer used/desired.

6) how does SpacedEd score (respond) multiple correct answers?

7) would be nice to be able to take test as opposed to preview.

8) would like to be able to use images, audio, video, etc. in answer choices... possible?

9) already reported... no YouTube video on http://www.spaceded.com/wgraziadei woked initially but not now.

10) I would love an offline 'Publisher' the likes of TopClass Publisher to do this.

Is there a link to see ALL members in SpacedEd? There was one when I first signed on; but, now I can't seem to find it. I know I can use tags to find others; but, I just wanted to puruse.  Bill G...

Duncan, so far so good. I'm really enjoying getting acquainted with SpacedEd. I very much like the approach. It fits my pedagogy and digigogy.

My strategy is to take a few courses to get familiar with the look 'n' feel of SpacedEd. Then I will develop two 'teaser' free courses followed by 'full' pay micro-courses for each; namely, Immunology & Infectious Diseases and Web 2.0/3.0 Social Media in Medical Sciences. I will be looking to see how easy it is to incorporate existing Web 2.0/3.0 social networking tools into SpacedEd in both courses.

On that note, it would be nice when a student answers a question, if s/he had a comment box to add/extend question being asked, e.g., cite the best source you used to answer question or why did you choose A verses B and C. Just a thought at this early stage.

BTW are you familiar with Moontoast (http://wgraziadei.home.comcast.net/moontoast.html) similar 'pay for knowledge'.

For what it's worth, I like the way Edmodo (http://www.edmodo.com/) and Yammer (http://www.yammer.com/) work. When SMS and IM are instituted into SpacedEd will Skype, AIM, WindowsLive, Twitter, etc. be included? BTW I'm waiting on a follow from http://twitter.com/spaceded so I can communciate via Twitter using DM.

Last question, is SpacedEd on the QT/Non-Disclosure? I don't want to talk about it or talk it up to colleagues if it is. I know it's a 'private' beta. Does that mean lips sealed?

Thanks and ciao, Bill G...

I have not answered some questions for some time and now my progress bars have spilled over my page e.g. > 100%

I doubt that this is the desired behavior.

We deliberately avoided the complexity of answer specific feedback for now to keep it simple. You can (and probably should, as I do) refer to one or more of the possible answers in the feedback. See my iPhone Tips & Tricks course for an example.

I really liked the review course interface.

I would like to have used it for all courses that I take.

It was not obvious to me when I was creating the course that the encouraging comments that I add for each question could be answer specific? Is this possible? I did not implement this so the same comment appeared no matter what question answer option I chose.

Much of the interface is not done yet, this includes the question comments and user profiles. Photos other than your own picture will be hidden eventually.

Question comments: The idea is that anyone taking the question can comment on it, hopefully add something to the learning experience for everyone or at a minimum ask a question that helps the author make the learning better. Most people will likely not bother commenting but may read. The interface will become a bit more subtle and less "in your face" than it is today.

P.S. Anyone browsing my profile can see these comments - they are not private.
